Dispose of your unwanted AgVet chemicals safely

ChemClear is dedicated to providing agricultural and veterinary chemical users with opportunities to dispose of their unwanted, surplus, or obsolete chemicals in an environmentally safe and responsible way. Our upcoming collections page keeps you informed about scheduled collection events across Australia, making it easier for you to plan the safe disposal of your chemical waste.

Whether you’re a farmer, an agronomist, or involved in land management, you can participate in our collections to help safeguard your property, protect your community, and minimise environmental harm.

Upcoming collection events

Collections are usually scheduled every 2-3 years based on demand. Registering your chemicals early helps us determine the need for a collection run in your area, allowing us to organise these services more effectively.

Below, you will find a list of upcoming collection events across Australia. Stay updated and ensure you don’t miss your chance to safely dispose of unwanted chemicals.

Victoria collection

Scheduled collection: Early 2025 (exact dates to be confirmed)

Registration deadline: Friday, 31 January 2025

The registration deadline for the upcoming Victorian ChemClear collection has passed. You can still register your chemicals, but they will be scheduled for the next collection in Victoria.

What to expect at a collection event

ChemClear collection events are carefully coordinated to ensure a smooth, safe, and efficient process for all participants. On collection day, it is your responsibility to transport your registered chemicals to the collection point. Here are a few key points to ensure a smooth experience.

Notification

Registered participants will be contacted ahead of time with details about the collection site location, date, and specific appointment time to bring in their chemicals.

Transportation

On the collection day, you will need to transport your chemicals to the nominated collection site. ChemClear encourages the use of a ute or truck to carry chemicals—not in the boot of a car or in an enclosed vehicle. Keep incompatible chemicals separated and ensure that containers are secure and leak-free. Wear appropriate protective equipment during transport.

Drop-off procedure

Upon arrival at the collection site, the ChemClear retrieval team will verify your reference numbers and safely collect your registered chemicals ensuring they are disposed of in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
